Pilsen has seen many dramatic changes in last couple years, from mass evictions of working families and immigrants, to the closing of local small businesses, community spaces and housing shelters, we are at a defining moment in the future of the community. Now more than ever, we need your help and participation to make Pilsen the community we wish to see for the future!
Please join us Monday February 19th 6pm at St. Pius Church as we co-host a Pilsen Community Town Hall on Rent Control and Property Tax assessments.
We will have the presence of Senator Daniel Biss (D-9), Our Revolution Illinois Board member Abdelnasser Rashid and State Representative Theresa Mah to provide real solutions to the affordable housing crisis and rapid gentrification in Pilsen that is greatly affecting the community.
In addition, Lift The Ban Coalition will provide information about the Rent Control Advisory Referendum that will appear on the ballot in the 25th ward on March 20, 2018!
Town Hall is free and open to the public and is accessible!
Please bring your friends, family so we can collectively decide what is best for the Pilsen community and finally stand up to the forces of displacement. Look forward to seeing everyone there!
Si Se Puede!
